Steel Hoppers
Unlike our painted hoppers, steel hoppers don’t need an enamel protective coat. This is due to one of two specialized steel products: galvanized steel or stainless steel. Explore the pros and cons of each type of steel, common applications for these dependable hoppers and how you can customize a dump hopper to fit your industry and particular application.
Applications
Both galvanized and stainless steel hoppers are particularly suited to corrosive applications. This means that they are a great investment for farmers, chemical processing plants and food processing facilities. The tough steel won’t rust or otherwise corrode when exposed to harsh chemicals and other acidic elements.
Other than the alloy used in the construction process, your steel hopper is fabricated with the same dependable design features of our traditional self-dumping hoppers.
As a food processing hopper, stainless and galvanized hoppers both offer the protection and dependable designs you need. Store and haul organize waste, grocery store waste and restaurant waste without relying on your local waste management company.
In-house waste removal can save you time and money as you grow your food processing facility or restaurant.
Chemical processing plants can’t afford to compromise their materials with a corroding hopper. Chemical spills are serious issues, so choose a hopper that can safely handle your products or waste materials and transfer them to other dependable containers.
Customization
When discussing custom features, don’t forget about our accessories and additional parts. Add a convenient release system to your stainless steel hopper to create a safe work environment. Our release systems allow forklift operators to efficiently pick up, move and dump a hopper without leaving the safety of their forklift.
Casters help maneuver a hopper safely, without lifting it off the ground. Use the spacious forklift channels to secure the hopper with forklift forks, then roll it to allow for movement in a low-clearance area. Choose locking casters to keep your hopper safe while it’s being loaded.
While the hopper itself has a galvanized or austenitic stainless steel body to protect itself from corrosive materials, the base of your hopper can be constructed with our traditional enameled steel design. Show off our traditional Roura green paint job or paint the base of your hopper with a custom color to create a color-coding system for your facility.
Don’t let a missing or damaged part hold your facility back. Affordable replacement parts restore your hopper after a workplace accident or years of heavy use. As both manufacturer and distributor of our hoppers, we can easily send you replacement trunnion pins, handles, springs or other high-wear components.
